It's official, I'm the new Soul Calibur dictator of the household.

the_ladys_opal's precious Talim isn't as powerful as before and Kilik seems to be the King of juggling and ring outs, which means I've been kicking her ass quite consistantly. Glorious.

The create-a-character isn't as hot as I'd hoped, visually you can make quite good characters, but the movesets have much to be desired. Each one doesn't really have many moves to choose from, not when compared to the vast amount to choose from for the official characters.

Overall I rate it 7/10, it's Soul Calibur as you know it, which is awesome, but the new additions could've been done much better.

I suppose I should make a bit of an update, the last week and a half I've been off work on 'holiday'. I've not gone anywhere exotic or special, I'm just using up my holiday time before the end of the year as it disappears into oblivion if I don't.

I finally got Gizmoo up to level 60 in WoW and since have gone on a few instance runs but I've not done anything extra special, and then it hit, my time ran out and as it's this close to Christmas and certain expenses (car insurance) needed to be paid I have to hang on a bit and I fancied a little bit of a change. So I picked up a new game...

I hate the word eclectic, but the music's chilled out and easy to listen to while playing WoW or browsing the internets, sexcellent.

So the car insurance is due in a few days, Christmas is coming up, rent is due out and I just paid off the car tax for the next 6 months. Which means I'll be terminally skint for the next 2 months.

Joy offered to pay the "up front lump sum" of my car insurance, then I'll pay off the monthly installments which is a lifesaver, <3 you!

I'm in a bit of a gaming slump at the minute, due to WoW, it's all I play. I should have enough rest XP to sail Gizmoo into 60 easily, while working on my alt a Druid. Excellent.

Can't wait until Saturday afternoon...freedom from work for 2 and a bit weeks...

Apparently realms are just coming back online at 13:34GMT (14:34 Frog Time), 6 minutes before I have to leave for work. Fuck you, Blizzard. Fuck you and your dog.

Well, after a bit of an absence I have returned!

I've not had that much time to make posts as I've been bust lately. I've also been debating whether I should start drawing again, it would mean digging the antiquianted scanner I have out of the box upstairs, hooking it up and scouring the internets for some drivers, it would also mean the purchase of some stationary and quite possibly a graphics tablet as I want to go that route...tis a time consuming hobby though, although I do have two weeks off starting sunday...only problem is, drawing space when using pen and paper, there is none in my house...no desks, well, apart from the PC desk and no room for a desk, I live in a small house...I could probably come up with something though...maybe I shall...

...Joy suggests doing some WoW pics for the Fanart LJ community, sounds like it could be fun.

...oh and the tea doesn't taste like fish anymore, it must've been some curious aftertaste from the peanut butter on toast. Huzzah!

Today I made a new purchase, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It was either that, Alien Hominid or Kingdom Hearts. Well, really it was only between Kingdom Hearts and Paper Mario, I was out for something a bit more lengthy than Alien Hominid and me and Square are on a break due to my inability to get very far in FFX.

I think I have some kind of cold and every morning I wake up my throat is dry and sore. Also, you know that 'not quite with it' feeling you get in your head when you have a cold, I have that too. It sucks.

Over the last couple of days I've been on the World of Warcraft, but that goes without saying really. I've also found a couple of gems, one is the Age of Empires 3 (AoE3) demo, which you can get over at http://www.ageofempires3.com (the demo weighs in at 350-ish MB).

And here I am playing Disgaea on the PS2 while sitting with the laptop. AOL Broadband is pissing me off as I have to run a Proxy server program on the desktop PC in order to be able to use the internet on the laptop and even then it's a bare-bones form of internet.

I saw a copy of La Pucelle Tactics in a shop (I'm not telling you which one, I want it to still be there on payday) but I couldn't afford it, so I guess I'll have to wait until payday to get it.

Not much to update, except I suck at Disgaea. I can't even get past "Mid-Boss" now, how pathetic. Ah well, one more try before I give up for the night.

Oh and Demort's level 17 now, not much change there.

So I've decided to start again with my LiveJournal, it's going to be far geekier this time around, so I apologise to all who enjoy a good bit of emo.
